Essence of Being

I explore the duality of human personality. Inspired by multiple controversial events in my life with family members, my brother acts as the poster boy of functional dysfunction. In the centre, he’s a bold vibrant presence who steals the room, morphing with his other contrasting personality of melancholy and unhealthy habits.

These personalities overpower his shadow of being that is hidden behind his grandiosity. I want this artwork to reflect on those who can relate to bipolar personalities in their lives and re-evaluate their view on complex emotions hidden behind masks.
